On Tuesday, 24th October, 2023 the KOICA Alumni Association of Ghana( KAAG)made a Sanitary Pad and Book Donation to the Old Lashibi JHS.
In attendance were the the KOICA Country Director, Mr. Dong Lee and KOICA Staff, KAAGExecutives and members as well as teachers and students of the school.
The students were educated on the topic of Menstrual Hygiene Management and the need to exercise regularly to reduce menstrual cramps.
Aside the SRHR education , a donation of 120 boxes of Sanitary Pads and 2000 copies of exercise books was presented to the school to help the girls focus on their studies without having worries about menstrual sanitary pads. And the books were provided to all the boys and girls to help them take notes to that will aid their studies.
Ms. Lovia Afoakwa, KAAG President in her speech addressed the children and encouraged them to study hard so they can be able to study abroad someday.
It was a successful exercise that promotes SDG 3.
