KOICA Alumni Association of Ghana (KAAG)
KOICA Alumni Association of Ghana (KAAG), is a voluntary organization formed by participants of KOICA’s Fellowship Programs, with support from KOICA. Established in 2008, the association currently boasts 1374 members (as of 2023). The primary objectives of KAAG are:
- To bolster KOICA alumni-led initiatives aimed at disseminating and sharing knowledge, fostering local networking, and building partnerships for mutual benefit and global development.
- To facilitate networking and exchange among KOICA fellows, encouraging them to take the lead in strengthening connections with Korea.
The unique feature of KAAG lies in the proactive involvement of its members, who, under the guidance of five elected executives (President, Vice President, Secretary, Financial Secretary, and Event Coordinator), initiate, plan, and execute various activities. These activities include General Assemblies, Knowledge Sharing Sessions, voluntary community service, and donations, among others.
Using this approach, KAAG fulfils a crucial role as an evolving platform that empowers its members to leverage their shared experiences and values; as well as harness their knowledge, skills, and networks to address the complex challenges faced by Ghana and the global community. Through these efforts, KAAG contributes significantly to the gradual achievement of global development goals and sustainable development, with a commitment to leaving no one behind.
